Commercial 2 Corporate and The Tasting Class are working together to bring an added advantage to your corporate flight attendant role, this course is a one day course run by The Tasting Class.

Level 1: Award in Wine Online  

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust set the global standard in wine and spirit education. It is a globally recognize qualification vital to securing a beverage service role in many sectors of the industry. There are four levels to the WSET program that take a student from beginner to elite-level expert.

Level 1 is a beginner level introduction to wines suitable for those starting a hospitality career or pursuing an interest in wine. For individuals new to wine study, this qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine.

Course delivery

This qualification has a minimum requirement of six guided learning hours with a WSET course provider. With The Tasting Class teaching starts at 10am. The exam is given from 5pm – 6pm.

Assessment

Assessment is by a closed-book exam of 30 multiple-choice questions.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.

This Course is facilitated by The Tasting Class, The UAE’s first company dedicated to educational beverage experiences. To date, they facilitated the studies for more than 500 students. The Tasting Class is headed by Lindsay Trivers, a sommelier with 15 years’ experience on five continents, and who also has ample service industry experience including stewarding on a luxury rail services and super yachts.

You’ll learn the main types, styles and regions of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
